Kirby the Kestrel : ウィキペディア英語版 | Kirby the Kestrel
Kirby the Kestrel is an American Kestrel (sometimes called a falcon or sparrow hawk) that frequents Target Field, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Named after the late Kirby Puckett, this kestrel amuses fans at Minnesota Twins games by hunting insects while perched at the top of the right field foul pole.〔(Ask the Birds and They Will Tell You, May 7, 2010 )〕 Baseball fans cheer whenever Kirby is successful in his hunt or whenever the bird is showcased on the large screen in the outfield. Kirby is fast becoming considered an unofficial mascot by Twins fans.〔Sources, Kevin Hoffman May 7, 2010 (City Pages )〕 ==References==
